A training for everyone!

From starting beach cyclist to seasoned beach racer. This beach clinic is for everyone who likes to cycle on the beach. The training is supervised by the trainers of the Sockeloen Cycling Club i.s.m. Jasper Ockeloen, each level receives sufficient guidance. We will cycle as much as possible with a complete group and then collect again at certain points. The goal is to provide every level of beach racer with a fantastic educational day, and to enjoy a beer and hamburger together afterwards.

 

How can I participate?

PLEASE NOTE: there are only limited places available so be quick!

 

- Register by purchasing this product and leaving your details on the checkout.

- You will receive the latest information by email 2 days before the event.

- You can park for free and nearby at hotel Hoge Duin in Wijk aan Zee.

- Coffee in advance and 1x Beer & Burger afterwards are included.

 

- You must provide a mountain bike yourself.

(Beach tires are certainly recommended but not mandatory)

- Make sure you have a suitable outfit, shoes and helmet.

Program:

Coffee + Favorite Beach outfit

After a delicious cup of Magistrale Cycling Coffee in the cozy atmosphere of the SunSeaBar, Jasper will kick off by telling what his favorite beach outfit is. Due to the turbulent weather and the often intensive efforts on the beach, it is important to make the right choice of clothing. Here, in collaboration with partner Rogelli, Jasper will explain which products Jasper uses on the beach and how they were made.

 

The southern loop

In the first part of the training we mainly focus on a number of technical passages that will lie in the southern loop between the SunseauBar (departure point) and the southern Pier in the Egmond Pier Egmond course. In this way we will practice the descent through the soft sand and the ascent through the dune path back to the sea. The climb to the high dune will also be explored extensively so that the climbing goats can show themselves. To conclude this loop we will explore the steep descent back to the beach that follows.

 

The northern loop

In the second part of the training we drive a little longer on the beach, en-group towards Castricum to practice the famous stairs there. Here we will also practice how to get over the bales quickly and safely. We end this northern loop with a fun game form for those who still have energy! Don't be afraid, nobody will be left alone, there will also be a group that will drive back.

 

BBQ & Beer

When the whole platoon has arrived, the fun really starts because we can all grab a hamburger and a beer in the SunSeaBar and chat together. In short: it promises to be a super nice, pleasant and interesting morning where you simply MUST be!
